The Emerald Atlas, by John StephensHello my friends! I have just finished the most fantastic book! The Emerald Atlas, by John Stephens, is an exciting and original fantasy adventure. Kate, Michael, and Emma’s parents left under mysterious circumstances ten years ago, and since then, the three siblings have been bounced from orphanage to orphanage. Finally, they are taken in by the orphanage of Dr. Pym in Cambridge Falls – only there are no other children there when they arrive.

The real adventure begins when the children are snooping about and stumble upon an office in the basement. In the office, they discover a beautiful book which transports them into the past to a dark and frightening time. Cambridge Falls, is under the control of an evil Countess who has stolen all the children. She won’t give them up until she finds something very powerful. Will the children escape back into their own time? Can they save the children? Will they ever see their parents again? Find out in The Emerald Atlas, by John Stephens.

I think one of my other favorite science fiction book is, “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins. I recommend this series for kids ages 10-11, and up.
