I didn’t know that ALL CAPS meant shouting.

I learned that the internet is not a safe place for kids to be on without an adult knowing because comments could hurt your feelings or a person could try to figure out your identity.

If you start a flamewar you can get in big trouble and get banned from websites

I think the most important thing online is that you don’t leave your name and address on the computer so that no one can track you down.

I think the most important thing, is telling your personal information like, telling your name, your password, and your address to any random person.

I think that information privacy helped me the most because I learned that if a website tells you to put your name, you should tell your parents and if they say that it’s okay then you still shouldn’t put your name, you should put a nickname.

It is what i think, best not to give out your name. People could pretend to be you.

I think the most important part was online safety. It was when we learned about how to be safe online.I still think everything was still helpful. Now I now how to be polite, and safe online. I hope other people know about this because I am sure there will be no problems with computers or laptops if people know this information.

I think that learning about not giving out information is very helpful to me

  12. Rachel.M November 29, 2011 at 1:22 pm #

I learned what info you can put online, and what info you should not put online, like where your going at what times! I didn’t know before, because i used to say what compitition I was going to, and where it was!

I learned that you should not use capital letters because i seems that you are yelling to that person reading it. I learned that you shouldn’t tell other people your secrets like who you like. Also I learned that you shouldn’t talk about people behind their back because they might know that you are and it could hurt their feelings.

I think that the most important thing I have learned was about giving out information like your name and address.

I learned that the internet can’t always be a safe place and that not everything on the internet is true. Also being mean on the internet can get you banned from websites meaning you can never go on them again. My parents always want me to tell them what website I’m on so they can make sure it’s a safe website! After all a safe website is a good website 😀

I would not be safe if my personal information is out on the computer because it is out showing everyone in the whole world.

  17. Hannah S. November 29, 2011 at 1:25 pm #

I think that information privacy is the most important. I think so because people don’t always tell their real age and could really fool you. If you are fooled really badly you could possibly get captured or other things. It is a good idea to change your name completely but say your real age!

Never leave your home number online because people could keep calling you.

  19. Will J. November 29, 2011 at 1:25 pm #

The most important part of leaving comments on the computer is being safe on the Internet. Don’t be rude to other people on the Internet because they may get mad at you then they might start a flame which is an argument. Don’t say something about yourself that is really not true or do not say anything about another person that is not true about them. Respect everyone on the Internet.

  20. Jason M. November 29, 2011 at 1:27 pm #

I think the most important part of posting comments online is being nice to people because if you say something bad about a person online it will reflect how people think about you and if you are nice online people will most likely be nice back to you. So I think that you should be nice to people online.

Don’t tell people your phone number, address, full name, school, bank account number, email address, or credit card number because they could harm you in any way or if you are a kid they could kidnap you.

  22. Kyle B. November 29, 2011 at 1:30 pm #

You should not give out personal information like your username, password, phone number, house number, etc. You should also want your parents to know what your doing and who your writing to.

  23. Alexa M. November 29, 2011 at 1:32 pm #

I think the most important rule is information privacy because you don’t want anyone finding out your email because they can post bad information about something and people will think it’s you.

I think it a good idea that teachers are teaching kids to have fun on the computer but still being safe at the same time.

I’m pleased to see that the fifth graders understand computer etiquette and safety guidelines.

Don’t tell a person you or your parents know. Telling private info without permission is not good.
